A senior BCCI source told PTI on the condition of anonymity ,

“If something changes then it is a different matter, but as of now players will not be able to take their wives or partners along on this tour. When a senior player asked about this, he was told that the board's policies will be followed.”

"Since this tour is for less than a month, the players will not be accompanied by their families. But if there is an exception, I think the player will have to bear the entire expense, as the BCCI will not bear the expenses for his family."

What do BCCI rules say?

According to the BCCI policy documents, players staying outside India for more than 45 days during foreign tours can be joined by their partners and children (below 18 years).

This visit can be up to two weeks for each series. According to the policy, prior permission has to be taken from the coach, captain and GM Operations for any change in this. If the player's family stays more than the time prescribed by BCCI, then BCCI will not bear the cost of the extra time.
