Australia equalled the number of fours Pakistan hit in 20 overs in 6 balls and got a resounding victory

This is the third consecutive win of defending champion Australia in the group stage and with this the team has almost confirmed its place in the semi-finals. On the other hand, Pakistan's chances of reaching the semi-finals are almost over after the second consecutive defeat. Its last match will be against New Zealand.

Pak vs AUS

Friday, October 11 proved to be a very bad day for Pakistan cricket. On one hand, Pakistan's men's team had to face a crushing defeat by an innings and 47 runs at the hands of England in the Test match in Multan, due to which the team is being ridiculed in the entire cricket world.

On the other hand, in the evening, thousands of kilometers away from Multan, Pakistan's women's team had to face a similar defeat in the T20 World Cup in Dubai.

The only difference was that the women's team had to face a tough challenge from a world champion team like Australia. In this 14th match of the World Cup, Australia defeated Pakistan by 9 wickets in just 11 overs and with the third consecutive win, they have almost confirmed their place in the semi-finals.

Only 4 fours in 20 overs, collapse for 82 runs

In this match, Pakistan batted first and like the previous three matches, once again its batsmen disappointed badly. Australia's bowling was strong but even in the powerplay, Pakistani batsmen could not play freely and the team had to suffer the consequences.

In the first 6 overs, Pakistan scored only 23 runs and lost 2 wickets. Due to this, it became more difficult for the later batsmen to score runs and the entire team collapsed for just 82 runs in 19.5 overs.

The Pakistani team was playing this match without its young captain Fatima Sana, who had returned to the country a day before due to the death of her father.

The Pakistani team missed Fatima, who had played short but fast innings for the team in the last two matches and took the team to a match-worthy score. Then she also did wonders in bowling.

The effect of her absence was visible on Pakistan and the team could score only 4 fours in the entire innings. Alia Riaz scored the highest 26 runs for Pakistan, while from Australia's side, spin all-rounder Ashlee Gardner took 4 wickets for 21 runs.

Australia finished the game easily

As expected, this target did not prove to be difficult at all for defending champions Australia. Although their start was slow and no boundary came in the first 11 balls of the innings, but after that it was a rain of runs.

In the next 6 consecutive balls, Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney hit 4 fours equal to the entire innings of Pakistan. Beth Mooney got out in the fifth over, but after that Alice Perry and Healy together gave the team victory by the 11th over. Captain Healy scored 37 runs in just 23 balls but retired hurt. Perry scored 22 runs.
