There will be a twelve-day bank holiday in various states in the last five days of December. Bank Holiday List December 2024: This news is for you if you have any important work related to the bank. For information, let us tell you that there will be bank holidays in many states in the month of December. 

Holidays, local events and regular holidays can be the reason for this. Apart from this, banks are also closed on the second and fourth Saturdays, Sundays of every month. Half of the month of December 2024 is over, due to which there will be 12 days of bank holiday in different states.

In such a situation, if you are doing any important work related to the bank and are thinking of going to the branch, then before leaving home, definitely check the list of bank holidays. 

This will help you complete your work without any problem. Keep in mind that digital banking services, such as net banking, UPI and ATMs, will work during the holidays. That is why you can opt for cash transactions or online services. 

Following is the list of bank holidays: 

18. December 2024: Banks closed in Chandigarh on Guru Ghasidas Jayanti19 December 2024: All banks will remain closed in Goa on Thursday as it is Goa Liberation Day.
-22 December 2024: Weekly holiday on Sunday -24 December 2024: Banks closed in Mizoram, Meghalaya, Punjab and Chandigarh on Christmas and Guru Tegh Bahadur's birthday -25 December 2024: Banks will remain closed on Christmas.
-26 December, Thursday: All banks closed (Boxing Day and Kwanzaa) -28 December 2024: Fourth Saturday: Banks closed -29 December 2024: Weekly holiday on Sunday -30 December, Monday: Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on U Kiang Nangbah Festival
-31 December, Tuesday: Bank holiday in Mizoram and Sikkim on account of New Year's Eve and Losong Namsong.

You can avail online service on bank holidays— 

 If there is a bank holiday, you can withdraw money online. Through which you can fulfill your goals. Net banking can be used from the bank's website or mobile app. It has the facility of bill payment, balance check and money transfer.

The nifty payments interface is also good if you want to transfer money. You just need to use UPI apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.

You can avail many facilities using the bank's mobile app on your smartphone. Online services like money transfer, mobile recharge, utility bill payment etc. will not be affected during bank holidays.

At the ATM, you can withdraw money, check balance and get a mini statement.
