Dr Ajit Kumar of the Department of Medicine at Delhi's GTB Hospital says that the main reason for the increase in sugar level in the age group of 30 to 35 years is bad eating habits. 

Nowadays people's diet contains more sugar, refined carbohydrates, and fat. Sweets have also increased in the diet and people are eating more fast food than before. This type of food has a high GI index, which increases the sugar level in the body.

Mental stress is also a big reason

Dr. Kumar says that people's mental health is deteriorating due to work pressure, household tension and the influence of social media. 

Mental stress is also a major reason for increasing sugar levels at a young age. Mental stress disturbs the balance of hormones. Which directly affects the sugar level.

Dr. Kumar says that now people's lifestyle has deteriorated, people spend hours on the phone, but do less exercise. Not exercising also increases the level of sugar in the body. 

Dr. Kumar says that in today's time insulin resistance is happening at a young age. Due to this also sugar increases in the body. In many cases, people are not able to know its initial symptoms. When diabetes occurs, then it becomes known that the disease has developed in the body.

How to control sugar level

Exercise at least half an hour daily

Don’t eat too much sweets

Take care of your diet and include green vegetables and fruits in your diet

do not take mental stress
